How to Gracefully Handle Disappointing Election Results

I have no idea.

You’re disappointed with the results of the election because you care. Caring is wonderful, but sometimes it can be painful. So maybe it’s time to channel that care into something else constructive.

Do what good you can, and be kind. That’s it.

In the meantime, here’s a video of a bunch of Seals braying to the tune of Seal’s “Kiss From a Rose.”

If you also need advice on how to gracefully handle rejection, then I have a post you’ll love.

If you’re still reading post-seal content, and you want something more substantial than an empty “chin up – it’s not so bad,” this clip from “The Daily Show” from Jon Stewart on Election Night is worth watching. Stewart makes a salient point – as much as political pundits will make predictions about the next four years, there is no way of knowing the future. As disappointing as some of these results may be (because again, there have been many elections throughout the United States, not just the presidential election), this is just another beginning.

We are going to continue to work to see the kind of future we want for ourselves and future generations.

To everyone out there struggling, I wish you the best in these difficult times. You are not alone.
